Tomato Plants, before blight
Believe it or not, there are 6 plants in there.
Plants 1 and 2 after blight. Most of these tomatoes are lost. sniff, sniff
Plants 3 and 4. The beefsteak in the front has 4 remaining tomatoes.
Plants 5 and 6. The Heirloom plums in the back have all survived.
Raspberries and herbs
Raspberries, herbs and some lettuce at the other end.
I also have 6 rose bushes. Three were completely buried under weeds. Those three should bloom this week for the first time. Here’s the other three.

Rose Bush 6 - has 13 large red buds!
I’m jealous! I’ve been really wanting to grow a garden lately…but I never got around to it this summer. Next season hopefully.
Oh, it’s awesome!
I knew I wanted to plant the garden and herb beds. I wasn’t so sure I’d love all the flower beds. I really wish I would have taken a picture of what they looked like before. They were so overgrown I didn’t even know I had 3 of the rose plants that I expect to bloom this week.
The whole thing has been stress relief. Especially when it wasn’t 1000 degrees outside. I’m really bummed about my tomato plants as I had visions of homemade salsa and sauce dancing through my head. I only hope my plants can pull through. =)
Tomatoes are as bad as Andrew Peters!
Just ’cause you don’t like ‘mater’s doesn’t mean you have to insult them by comparing them to Andrew Peters! No veggie deserves that!
You’ll be happy to know that my tomatoes went through phase two of blight, and I lost most of the little that was left. =’(
