T.O.

March 9, 2009

Time the fuck out!

A few days ago I was reading (or listening) to something and they were discussing the possibility that TO would land in Buffalo.  I thought it was so absurd I didn’t even pay enough attention to be able to accurately quote it here.  Yesterday, I wake up to a Sunday paper that says Buffalo HAS signed TO.  Seriously?  I’m surprised he chose to come to Buffalo because it’s not all “big town” like he is.  Maybe Mr. Lynch will let him bunk for the season.  They’re the perfect duo to cause a little B’lo havoc. *

On the  bright side, there is NOTHING the current group of Sabres could do that would out shine the stupidity of 90% of the current Bills.

Congratulations…I think.

Love Sick Ass

January 5, 2009

I loved my time at the hair dresser on Saturday, but apparently missed a totally kick ass game.  Congrats to the Sabres for being undefeated in the new year.  Congrats to Matt Ellis for cementing a spot in the Sabres lineup.  That’s a bit o’ middle finger to Lindy for the “we can’t win a game when Matt Ellis is your best player.”

I read poor Sekera got knocked in the nuts by a stick.  I know they wear cups and all, but come on, you know it hurts.  The fact he got booed by the Bruins fans just adds insult to injury.  I think the Sabres should have lined up at the exits and knocked all the male fans in the nuts.  How’s it feel now?  Anywho, it reminds me of when Hejduk score a goal a few years back.  Foppa took the puck to the privates and it rebounded right to Hejduk who stuck it in the net.  They refused to give Foppa an assist on the play.  Double ouch.

It appears the Sabres made through another night with their big boy undies on.  I’m not convinced they’ll be able to make it three games.  See, the Bruins are supposed to be better then the Sabres this year, and the Sabres are supposed to be better then the Sens.  (Not on paper, just in reality.)  We beat the Bruins so the Sens will beat us.  That’s my prediction, and it seems to be history with the Sens.  Anywho, I’m going to liken this game to one time I was babysitting my nephew.  He’d just gotten into his big boy undies and says laughing “I have to toot.”  So we of course tell him that’s fine.  He toots and gets this unbelievable look of shock on his face as he says “Woaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh, I did more than toot.”  Just like it was OK for A, it’ll be OK for the Sabres.  Sometimes, you drop a load in your pants, but you’ll eventually get the hang of it.  Unfortunately, I think tomorrow is going to be one of those “load in the pants” type of games.  (Please, Please, Please prove me wrong.  Please!)

I read somewhere that Timmy might be back tomorrow.  Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, I would love it if Lindy let him sit in the box a little longer.  Please, pretty please?!?!?  Plus, the Sens have already almost killed him once.  Maybe they’ll try to finish off?  Wait, now that I think about it, please let him play tomorrow.  Then he’ll be on IR until the playoffs.

Max appears to have a groin injury.  Max, how do you expect the Sabres to get a good return for you when we trade you at the deadline if you’re always hurt?  For once, take one for the team.  Please and thank you.

Now onto a serious subject.

I’m really glad Pie and Ellis are friends, but why, WHY does Pie always have his mouth open.  (I would have zoomed in on Pie, but Picnik isn’t working.)

Pie Yay the Mouth Breather

Pie Yay the Mouth Breather

It reminds me of -

Wonderfalls Alec Mouth Breather

Wonderfalls Alec "Mouth Breather"

This picture doesn’t show it that well, but the video shows the mouth breather in his full glory.  There’s some faces from “Cold Case” and “Pushing Daisy’s” you may recognize.  AND Eric is HOTT.

I love this show and if you’re curiosity has been piqued, you can find full episodes on youtube.  This show RAWKS.

Anywho, Sabres, I hope you prove me wrong.  If not, I’ll be watching my Mouth Breather and Jaye DVDs.

The hard questions

December 30, 2008

I think it’s about time someone around here starts asking the hard questions.

Who’d be better, Max or Gerbe?  Timmy or Tim?

I get people think Gerbe and Tim Kennedy need more time in the minors where they would play consistent minutes.  I also get we can’t buy out contracts mid-season, but this broken record says dump Max.  This is like real estate, you drop the price enough and someone will take it.  I think the Sabres have proven what they can do with draft picks.  As for Timmy Ho, at this point, I think the Sabres are prepared to keep him on IR for the rest of the season.  My dad  broke a rib a few months back, so I get it hurts.  blah, blah, blah.   We all know it’ll be 2 maybe 3 games back and then another injury.  So, get a few draft picks for Max, keep Timmy on IR and pluck (no offense Goose) Gerbe and Kennedy out of Portland.

What took so long to get injury updates?

Update: Goose and Gerbe are a go for tonight.  Peters and Max to warm the pine in the press box.

Today we found out Rivet is now day to day, Goose could play tonight, Gerbe is close and Timmy won’t play anytime in the near future.  No update on Kaleta.  I’m very excited to hear we should be seeing Gerbe soon.  With Timmy out for near future, he should see a spot in the line up.

Private to Chris Butler,

Great Job!  I know you’ll be heading back to Portland soon, but want to make sure you know, from the fans in Buffalo, just how well you filled C Riv’s big shoes.  You should be proud and I’m sure there will be a spot for you in the line up in the future.

See you soon,

Chaz

Im back and Im fighting mad!

I'm back and I'm fighting mad!

Goose, I really hope you weren’t being literal just now.  Between your chin and your thumb, I’m afraid for you.

You really think Peters is a heavy weight in this league?

He’s a fuckin’ joke.  You know it and I know it.  All the heavy weights in this league know it.  He’s BY FAR the worst fighter in the league, and we’re proud  forced to say he’s on our team.  This best be the last year he gets some ridiculous contract. (read: a contract) Patty Kaleta can easily fill the shoes left behind by Peters.  Easily.

Is it really tennis elbow if it happens playing Wii Tennis instead of watching the Sabres game?

Err…I don’t know the answer to this question, but if anyone does my friend Shaz, yeah, that’s it Shaz, would really like to know.

Do we win tonight?

How the hell would I know!  You act like I have ESPN or something.  What I do know is Semin is out and Ovechkin is in.  The question should really be “Is Miller “out” or in?”  I think we’ll see Brashear pummel Peters with that, deservedly, shit eating grin on his face.  Ovie will score with 2 seconds left, the Sabres, as a collective team, will show-up for the game will follow the system to Lindy’s liking and ultimately win the game in a shoot out.  Mean while, Chaz, errrr, Shaz will continue to perfect her backhand.

I believe the following two search terms accurately sum up my Tuesday morning feelings.  Don’t piss me off and where was I last Friday?

I could have been there…

December 16, 2008

Over the last few days, I’ve been kicking myself.  After Friday nights game, I decided that Saturday would be much better spent watching Frosty the Snowman with my nephews and once bedtime rolled around cuddling  with A or O.  So that is exactly what I did.  After O fell asleep, I tiptoed downstairs in order to take my nightly medicine and see the pain inflicted upon the Sabres by the Devils.  It was 4-2.  I was mad.  I could have spent the first period teaching my nephews about hockey, but I thought they’d rather poke their eyes out rather than see the game.  Argh.

You may remember a few weeks ago when I said this? Well, here I sit in my hotel room in Charlotte listening to the Canes take on the Habs. The same Habs that my favorite, non-Sabres, player plays on. Who’s a dipshit now? Yup, that would be me.

On Monday as I was preparing to head to the airport, I came acrossed two stories that literally had me in tears. Now, this could be due to the fact that there are currently a few of my family members that will most likely not make it through 2009, but I think it’s because I’m PMSing. The first was the Blackhawks getting on a bus and hiking 2 hours to attend the funeral of the GM’s pops. The second was the story of Don Sanderson. My only thought while reading this article was, “Timmy, don’t you see this REALLY could be you.” When I read both of these articles, I decided this would be my Monday night post. Over the course of a few hours while I attempted to migrate South for the winter  week, EVERYONE picked up these two articles. So, I scrapped that plan. Instead, I went out to all my favorite blogs listed over there on the right.   I quickly read this post by Katebits and thought, “Poor Goose!  At least they wear shin pads.”  About 15 minutes later, I read this post by Amy and thought, “Why would Gooses’ shin bleed? X-rays?  They wear pads, PEOPLE!”  I then opted to re-read Amy’s post and realized it said CHIN not SHIN.  ::headdesk::  I spent the next 10 minutes wondering what havoc Jeep wreaked on my poor Goose.  If he’s severely maimed for life…well, Jeep better watch his knees as he’s leaving the arena.  And that’s all I have to say about that.

Tomorrow night, I will be in NJ during the first and second periods of the game.  My hope is a bar, somewhere in the Newark airport will be playing the Devils game allowing me to watch my beloved Sabres.  In my gut, I feel this won’t happen.  Since my flight lands in the ‘Cuse at 11:30 you’ll have to wait until Thursday for an update on how much they love the Devils in NJ.  =)  It’ll be Friday if you want a coherant update, but when am I coherent?

I would also like to thank Carolyn for the suggestion of Dior Blackout Mascara.  I stopped by Sephora and picked me up some.

Dior Blackout Mascara, where have you been all my life?  Why is it just now, I have discovered you?

This is some seriously GREAT mascara people.  The next time I see D Roy, I’m going to suggest he try some.  It’ll work wonders on his llama lashes.

Wherein I ask U for Help

November 5, 2008

With my new job, I have to supply my own cell phone.  I do get a subsidy, but I still get to pick which phone, which plan and most importantly, with which carrier.  I would love a little help from all of you out there.  =)  (The sooner I get the phone the sooner I can get out of 1908 since I’ll be able to surf the net.)   ;-)

Right now, I’m debating between the Sprint Instinct, a Crackberry and the iPhone.  I should point out that I really want the iPhone but according to AT&T there is no coverage in one of the podunk Idaho towns in which we operate.  That would probably be a bad thing.

So, what do you think?
